Radiant electric heat is not just an alternative; it’s a solution for homes, apartments, offices, schools, medical facilities and more. Homeowner or building owner alike can save money due to its energy efficiency. Residents, workers, or patients alike can take comfort in its sun-like warmth.
Suitable for an entire structure yet ideal for an individual room, radiant electric heat can be the answer almost anywhere. And it allows the user to zone off specific/different areas for specific/different temperatures. Radiant electric heat, producing lower electric bills and requiring no seasonal maintenance, is also the superior choice for multi-family dwellings.
One of the main benefits you can sell when promoting radiant electric heat is the cost savings. Rooms that aren’t being used don’t necessarily need to be heated. Radiant electric heat allows independent control of the temperature in any room in which it is present. Remember to tell your customers or clients that the United States Department of Energy cites a three percent savings in energy costs for every one degree a thermostat is turned down below 70 degrees.
Because of the way it heats, radiant heat can actually make people feel warmer at lower temperatures. Infared radiant heat warms objects, not the air around them. It travels in wavelength fashion and heats anything in its path—unlike hot air which is affected by gravity and ultimately rises to the ceiling and causes uneven temperatures at floor and ceiling levels.
Radiant electric heat installs as easily as a light fixture. REH’s CeramiCircuit™ infrared radiant panels are available in 120v or 240v and are intended for permanent hard-wired installation. No furnace, blower, ducting or piping is needed for hook-up—assuring the installation cost will be less than that of nearly any other system.
Typically, each room is a separately controlled zone with its own thermostat. Baseboard, Wall Mount, and Ceiling Cove models are available and once installed the units are maintenance free. (In-ceiling modules are also offered.) REH extends a Five Year Warranty on the heating element, and replacement panels are also available.
